Fortenberry Buggy Ride circa 1902

Ferman, siblings with horse and wagon981smallToday’s blog post is a story derived from one photograph! Terry has always loved this photograph of  part of our grandfather Ferman’s family and wanted to share it with everyone.  It would have been taken in the Simmonsville area of Pike County, Mississippi.  Find the blog title shown above from the blogroll on the right.   Grab your hat and enjoy the ride!

I hope you get this. I was reading in your family history on the civil war. My great great grandfather was Major Wm. Monroe Quin of Quin’s Guards in the CSA. If you have ANY information etc, would be appreciated!

    Hi Thomas,
I don’t really have any other information about Monroe Quin other than what is mentioned in my Port Hudson article. Are you related to the John Bond who traveled from Georgia to Mississippi in 1809 my 3X grandfather, Willis Simmons?
